I can’t take any credit for the Leaf Garland Decoration project, however, it did seem to take over my wife and my washing up bowl, as M & Mrs M spent several weeks in October collecting, washing and then drying the very best leaves from their travels.
Then on one fairly ordinary day, they got out all the leaves and decorated them with glue and glitter, which i believe was a great success, if the remaining glitter evidence is anything to go by!
As a cynic to the activity, I have to confess, it gave our toddler purpose on his daily walks, fulfilment in a job well done for the wife and a glorious new decoration for our lounge. Writing this, almost 6 months later, it survived Christmas and the early days of spring and is still hanging proudly underneath the TV.
So next year, perhaps I may get a little more involved (by that I mean, steal the idea and make it my own) and send our child out to collect leaves on our walks.
