It's official! I am a published author!
I won't be making the same contribution to the art of childrens' book writing as Roald Dahl or Julia Donaldson. However, I have achieved something that has given me a great feeling of achievement and personal satisfaction.
Poor Little M will probably grow up believing the Shnugglefluffles were part of the family, as he has had to listen to my random thought processes and story ideas over the last year or so. The low point being when I thought I should write a song.
Soon I decided I had to write down my ideas, into a short story and 'Matthew and the Shnugglefluffles' was completed in May 2015 for his second birthday.
After some encouragement from my family, I decided to send a copy for a review! As a regular reader of @babyfoote bedtime stories website feature, I nervously posted the first book, which with the help of James, she kindly reviewed.
Encouraged by their feedback, I realised there was only one thing left to do, and finally I have officially released my first ever book!
None of this would have been possible if it wasn't for my council, editor and chief, sounding board, photographer, advisor and wife! Mrs M as always has been an incredible support to my little adventures and projects. She has also given me critical and honest feedback which has been invaluable and also chose THE actual Shnugglefluffle character. Looking after two boys with a 32 year age gap full time, working and being a great wife are just a few of the reasons why she is so amazing!
High fives also need to go to my Father-in-Law, who has guided me through the book publishing process.
So keep your eyes out this weekend as 'Matthew & The Shnugglefluffle is officially released on Amazon and flumbles.co.uk
