Tim Peake’s Spacecraft

If you’ve got a budding astronaut on your hands, don’t miss the incredible opportunity to learn all about Tim Peake’s space mission at York’s National Railway Museum. Although the virtual reality tour is recommended for over 13’s, the spacecraft is available for all to view and this unique experience is guaranteed to impress intrepid little ones.

Enchanted Forest and Ice Skating

Christmas may be a distant memory, but there’s still plenty of winter fun on offer at Stockeld Park. The ever-popular Illuminated Forest and the ice rink are open until the 8th January, treating toddlers to a magical experience they won’t forget in a hurry. The park is also home to a series of other adventure zones, including a maze and an adventure playground, for which individual tickets are available.

If you’re looking to prolong the festive celebrations for as long as possible, take a trip to The Deep and catch the under-the-sea themed pantomime, Finderella, before it ends. A fishy twist on the enchanting tale of Cinderella, toddlers will love the funny script, the lights and noises and the chance to get involved in a healthy dose of audience participation. On January 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th, The Deep is also hosting Little Nippers events, which are designed specifically for toddlers and babies. Registration is recommended for these morning sessions, which tend to be very popular.
Toddler Days at Eureka

Toddlers can enjoy the run of this vast, fun-packed museum on the 11th and 12th with no school bookings available and a range of activities on offer for younger visitors. Highlights include the Under 5’s gallery, the Sound Garden and Desert Discovery.

Bird Feeder Making
