This morning we entered the world of pottery painting at quite an advanced level! Instead of poster paints and a couple of toilet rolls, we decided it would be best to give a toddler china to paint!
Jack Rabbits Pottery in Oakwood just next door to Rounday in Leeds is the only ‘paint your own pottery’ studio in Leeds. Opened in 2014, it has a cafe area, soft couch seating area (with several children’s toys) and advertises its buggy-friendly space.
When we arrived we were impressed by the standards of many of the ‘accomplished artists’ who were painting their plats, cups, mugs and tea-pots. With five adults and Little M we were quicky seated and given a quick guide to how it works and what to expect.
A Great Morning - Perhaps not for Toddlers
Jack Rabbit is a great activity, perfect for meeting up with the friends, taking a slightly older family or just challenging your creative abilities.
It is not supposed to be an activity for toddlers, however, we still have our egg cups and enjoyed the activity, with excellent service, fabulous drinks and a great atmosphere.
The rating is purely based on the toddler experience and the cost is greater than the benefit for a child focussed activity. We did however, find that M was engrossed in the welcoming environment and had a fabulous afternoon with friends.
